The Gilmer Cartecay Youth Mountain Bike Team in collaboration with the Gilmer County Parks and Recreation Department are pleased to announce Gilmer Goes Cycling – an event designed to introduce kids to the fun of mountain biking through basic instruction and skills games.
The free event will be held at River Park, in a clearly marked field next to the large playground, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on June 1, 2024.
A functioning bike and helmet will be needed for participation.
Free bike and helmet inspections will kick off the event, followed by basic bike skills instruction and bike games. Kids from 3rd grade to 12th grade are invited to participate. Parents of 3rd through 5th graders will be asked to remain close by the event to support their little ones.
